Art in the Vines

There was a great turnout at Township 7 Vineyard and Winery's "Art in the Vines" Event on Sunday. All the vendors donated a gift to be raffled for the benefit of Osteoporosis of Canada Society. I was so grateful that the lady who chose my donation of "Enameled Copper Lily" earrings came to my booth to let me know she was so happy to have received them. My display is constantly evolving with each event and I'm learning "less is more".  I like how it turned out and have a few more tweaks in mind for the next show in 4 weeks.  It's good to change it up so it doesn't become stale or predictable. The same goes for my jewelry and introducing new designs keeps it fresh and new.  I hadn't enameled for awhile and this past month or so I've been drawn back to them.  Oh La La - the colors are amazing, and just in time for the summer. Here are a few pictures of my setup. My new banner ads a nice touch to the booth. Less is more....

ART SHOWS - MAKE A LIST AND CHECK IT TWICE

2014 CAR FREE DAY  on Commercial Drive My first outdoor show of the year and morning rain was in the forecast.  I thought nothing of it as my canopy has walls.  I'd never had my canopy in the rain so my fingers were crossed it didn't leak as water resistant and water proof are two different things. I'm usually pretty organized and believe in LISTS so I don't leave anything to chance and the canopy is on top of the list. While setting up, we realized we had no walls and remembered the walls came in their own carrying case.  Then we heard a big bang of thunder and it started to rain, and I mean POUR DOWN BUCKETS OF RAIN .  Everything had to be scooted onto one table and covered with a plastic table cloth (which I just happened to have tucked into one of the bags that morning). After about an hour the rains let up, the streets filled again with the hustle and bustle of excitement and eager participation.   The good news is the canopy only had ...
