Inspiration

INSPIRATION: Once the new(er) cabinets were installed, I was inspired to clean my studio and mingle all the stuff I had thrown into those lovely plastic bin towers we are all so fond of. I managed to clear a whole tall tower and several dr awers are now empty in a few others. After two days (I'm not quite finished), I managed to make a HUGE dent in what has to be done. Chain, jump rings, wire, tools etc., etc., etc. are now all in their proper places. The remaining "stuff" was dumped into a few containers and I'll sort them another day. I got rid of lots of "stuff" and feel like I'll have a fresh start at my bench to start creating for upcoming shows. BARGIN BIN - in the works: I've been bagging beads & findings I no longer use and will sell off at upcoming events. They'll start at $1 each per bag and up. PLANNED CREATIVE SCHEDULE (over the next month): - Enameling - Etching - Anticlastic forming - Sawing, Soldering & Riveting Can'...

New Pendants and a few Re-Vamped pieces

Image
Natural bronzite beads compliment the Agate focal gemstone. It can be worn on either sides to change the look. Copper and Turquoise & Howlite The links, clasp, and bail are all handmade using copper wire. Red Jasper with Picasso Beads with double coiled copper beads. I like it when the whole piece is handmade, including all the links. Another example of how you can create beautiful components and links using wire.

Gettin' Cagey Workshop - What we made today.

Image
Here are a few pictures of what we made today in the  "Gettin' Cagey" Wire Working Workshop. This was a semi private class with two great ladies. Pretty Resin Bird Pendant as the focal on this necklace. The bead colors blend so nice with the bird. I can't remember the name of these beads but there are so many great colors. Natural Howlite mixed with Red Ceramic Beads.

Sunday at Kellies Beads

Image
A friend and I went to Kellies Beads today for a preview the new treasures she brought back from the 2014 Tucson Bead Show.   I just finished sorting and pricing my new stash so when I'm ready to create something, I'll have all the info at my fingertips and no guess work involved.  (Why didn't I do that with all my beads :-) Kellie was saying how surprised she was at how much the cost of beads has gone up this year.  It's noticeable at the checkout but when you get a little discount on special events, it helps.  Thanks Kellie. Anyway, without further ado, take a look at my new stash.  Mostly agates and jaspers  Agate Maybe add a little hematite  Nice green in the pink focal Front Side of focal Back side of focal
