Swarovski Crystals with a Double Byzantine Weave I love the Byzantine Weave Bracelet and with the addition of Swarovski Crystals, it is just such a great combination. I am using stainless steel and have to say I love it more than the aluminium as the weight is so nice. Aluminium looks great but is very light weight. It's hard to photography the Swarovski Crystals so you have to trust me that they are BEAUTIFUL.
I organize a Meet Up group called the "Jewelry Junkies of the Fraser Valley" (JJFV) We meet once a month and one of the members usually teach a project. Here are a few pieces I made during the last meet up. We used a one part resin that is used for surf boards.
My DH brought home 3 crab and a 14 lb. salmon after a day fishing with friends. He called and asked that I put the pot of water on to boil. They were YUMMY.
I hit a few good garage sales today. There were lots of goodies out there and I found a few things for the studio to help get organized. This Ikea Cabinet was a great find and very good price. I was just discussing with my DH that I need more shelving above my work area. Two matching adjustable lamps help shed new light on my work station. I use natural day light bulbs to light the work area. This tray was a good find. Each red tray is removable and I now have quick access to components I've made and are ready to be incorporated into one of my jewelry creations. Having my little Buster boy keep me company is always nice.
FINALLY! SOME STUDIO TIME With my DH out fishing with his buddies, I thought it was a good excuse to get creative in the studio. My new Fretz Hammer was my weapon of choice today and to make a few Fold Form Bracelets. I like all the different textures on the bracelets and the possibilities are endless. This bangle isn't fold form but my new Fretz Hammer created a lovely rain effect...
